Security is always a issue.......26 august 2026

I deleted the entire desktop and reinstalled. Twice! The first time was ok but then got the webserver up and running except for phpmyadmin....which was behaving strangely and root could not be authorised to grant all priviledge to another user....could not figure it out. So I started again from scratch. I then finally realised that I had not updated the bios firmware for just over two years!! and there was a vunerability via TPM....so I finally upgraded the bios and it is only a few days old. So I have redone again. Also full download of online Bible. And it now seems to work ok....but it seems I have to run as admin. Also bought Bitdefender.....£20 for the year and it comes well recommended. Also contemplating Bitdefender VPN as well......their VPN is very intelligent and might not even allow me to make any internet payments without the VPN being active. Also it engages if I am on a public wifi. Which for the laptop and phone is essential it would seem. Also bought VPN for a year......£29.99p.
